KERRY Katona broke her silence over the death of George Kay today with a post declaring: “You are allowed to terminate toxic relationships.”
The 38-year-old star made her first social media post since her ex’s untimely death earlier this month from a suspected drug overdose, writing: “RIP
.”
She has remained silent on George’s death, apart from retweeting her daughter Molly McFadden’s defence of her when Fathers 4 Justice suggested the singer had “blood on her hands”.
Kerry shared two images, the first of which read: “You are allowed to terminate toxic relationships.
“You are allowed to walk away from people who hurt you. You are allowed to be angry and selfish and unforgiving. You don’t owe anyone an explanation for taking care of yourself.”
The Atomic Kitten singer and George started dating in 2012 and went on to have daughter Dylan-Jorge, who is now five years old.
Her second image was a long poem which read: “Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free. I’m following the path God laid for me.
“I took His hand when I heard him call, I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day, to laugh, to love, to work or play.
“Tasks left undone must stay that way, I found that place at the close of day. If my parting has left a void, then fill it with remembered joy.
“A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, ah yes, these things I too will miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow, I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
“My life’s been full, I’ve savoured much. Good friends, good times, a loved one’s touch.
“Perhaps my time seemed all too brief, don’t lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your heart and share with me… God wanted me now, He set me free.”
George died on Saturday July 6 after “eating a quantity of cocaine” in front of horrified staff at a Holiday Inn in Cheshire.
A source told the Liverpool Echo that George had been acting erratically on Friday night and refused to return to his room – forcing staff to call the cops.
Police officers attended at 9.54pm on July 5 but allegedly left the hotel after George agreed to return to his room.
It is claimed staff went to check on George at 10am on Saturday but found him “eating” a large amount of cocaine from his desk.
A spokesman from Cheshire Police said: “At 9.54pm on Friday, July 5, police received a report of concern for the safety of a 39-year-old man at a hotel on Wood Lane, Sutton Weaver.
“Officers attended and spoke to the man, as well as hotel staff. All parties agreed that he could remain at the hotel.

“At 10.11am on Saturday, July 6, police received a further report of concern for the man’s safety.
“Due to the information provided the caller was advised to contact North West Ambulance Service for assistance.
“Paramedics attended the hotel and the man was taken to Warrington General Hospital for treatment, where he sadly later died.
“The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
Kerry met former rugby league player George as teenagers, but started dating in 2012 after bumping into each other in Warrington.
They married in September 2014, five months after the star had Dylan-Jorge, but split in 2015, with Kerry claiming he had assaulted her.
