NEWCASTLE fans have been slammed by anti-racism campaigners for singing pro-Tommy Robinson songs at Tuesday night’s friendly at Hibernian.

A small section of the Toon Army were heard chanting in support of the far-right activist and former leader of the English Defence League at Easter Road.

And Show Racism the Red Card yesterday released a statement condemning their actions.

The campaign group’s chief executive Ged Grebby said: “Tommy Robinson is a far-right and anti-Islam activist, currently serving another prison sentence for contempt of court.
