PIERS Morgan has blasted Meghan Markle for editing the upcoming September issue of Vogue in the wake of her recent “diva” demands for privacy.
In his column for the Daily Mail, the Good Morning Britain presenter highlighted how the Duchess of Sussex, 37, skipped out on President Trump’s state visit last month because she was on maternity leave – but still found the time to guest-edit the fashion bible’s September issue.

During a Good Morning Britain show last month, Piers labelled the new mum “shameful” for not attending either the state banquet or D-Day commemorations during the President’s three day visit to the UK.
Arguing that Meghan is “being about as political as any royal has ever been” for snubbing the President and then choosing 15 female “trailblazers” who promote “equality and open-mindedness” for her cover, Piers pointed out: “Being a royal means you stay out of politics.”
Taking issue with Meghan’s choice of “radical, liberal” Vogue cover stars, the presenter added: “Her primary role now is to promote Britain, like any member of the British Royal Family. That’s why they get the taxpayer-funded palaces, servants and gilded lifestyle.”
Out of the 15 women Meghan has chosen to star in her “Forces for Change”-inspired issue – including New Zealand’s Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern and Swedish climate change activist Greta Thunberg, Piers pointed out that only five are British.

Piers also accused the Duchess of caring more about promoting “brand Meghan” in America than being a Royal.
He concluded: “She constantly bleats about privacy but also wants to edit magazines to promote herself and tell us how to lead our lives.”
Accusing the Duchess of double standards, Piers asked Meghan to consider whether she wants to be an apolitical member of the Royal Family or a “virtue-signalling political activist celebrity”.
The Duchess of Sussex, 37, sparked backlash earlier this month after fans at Wimbledon were BANNED from taking photos of her as she was there in a “private capacity” to watch pal Serena Williams play.

And in their quest for privacy at their new home in Frogmore Cottage, The Sun exclusively revealed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have issued their neighbours with strict instructions telling locals NOT to approach the couple or stroke their dogs.
Last month, it was revealed that Meghan and Harry spent £2.4 MILLION of taxpayer cash revamping their Grade II-listed home – including adding TWO orangeries and a floating floor in their yoga studio.
What’s more, the Royal couple opted to keep Archie’s christening earlier this month a small, private affair and have refused to reveal who they have chosen as their son’s godparents.
The Duchess of Sussex also hinted that life in the public eye “isn’t easy” as she opened up to Pharrell Williams at The Lion King premiere in London.
