"Many Photos" - 'Kill it with fire!' Monster huntsman spider from hell invades Australian home

A woman got the scare of her life when she walked into her home to find a giant huntsman hovering in the corner of her ceiling.

Laree Clarke put the call out on Facebook to get the monstrous spider removed from her Bluewater home in Townsville, Queensland. 

'Is there anyone that could remove this from my house?? Now!???' she posted accompanied by two photos of the spider hovering in the corner.

Ms Clarke was met with a range of responses, many of which suggested she opt for fire in order to get rid of the eight-legged intruder.

'Kill it with fire,' one woman said while another told her to ask the spider to 'pay rent'. 

'Probably easier to burn your house down at this point,' one man wrote.

Ms Clarke said she tried removing the spider with a container, but failed as it was the size of an adult's hand.

'I don't have a container that big! When I went near it with the phone light it come at me raising it fangs and legs. Hell nahhhh!' she wrote.

Another user suggested she attempt to burn the spider with an aerosol can and lighter, but others warned against it.

'I encourage you not to take the Mt Isa approach which is deodorant and a lighter as you can burn the house down and make the news,' one woman wrote.

Ms Clarke's call out was answered and she managed to get the spider removed from her home and released safely.
