Jamie and Rebekah Vardy have failed in an attempt to trademark the phrase 'chat s***, get banged', after rapper Stormzy said it in a new song with Ed Sheeran.
The phrase was used by footballer Jamie, 32, in a Facebook post in 2011 and is frequently quoted by fans on social media.
The Vardy's bid to trademark the phrase would have seen them get paid every time it was used in popular culture - including in the new Ed Sheeran-Stormzy collaboration.
However, the Intellectual Property Office denied their bid to protect its use in music because it contains an expletive.
Despite this, Jamie and Rebekah will still be allowed to use it on T-shirts and other merchandise.
