"Many Photos" - James Bond will drive the iconic Aston Martin DB5 in new movie

Aston Martin has given James Bond fans a quick sneak preview of the cars featuring in the up-coming and as-of-yet untitled movie.

The 25th outing Ian Fleming's 007 will provide the screen debut for the Gaydon-marque's £1.5 million hypercar the Valhalla.

The 200-mph hybrid will be driven by James Bond, played by Daniel Craig.

James Bond producers have released an image of more than 50 years of Aston Martins - models of which have been used since 1964's Goldfinger. The producers are using Aston Martin's new Valhalla, pictured centre, which is the £1.5m hypercar developed in association with Red Bull Racing using state-of-the-art Formula One technology. In the background are three Aston Martin Vantages - used in The Living Daylights as well as eight DB5s - the car most associated with 007

The Aston Martin DB5, similar to the one pictured here, first appeared in Goldfinger driven by Sean Connery. It has so far appeared in seven Bond movies and will return in Bond 25

Daniel Craig will also drive an Aston Martin Vantage, similar to this. The car was first used by Timothy Dalton in The Living Daylights in 1987

The sneak preview also suggests that Bond will return behind the wheel of the iconic Aston Martin DB5 - first driven by Sean Connery in 1964's Goldfinger.

The image shows eight DB5s, one of which has several body panels missing parked in a large garage.

There are also three 1980-era Aston Martin Vantages parked in a semi-circle around the back of the Valhalla.

For more than 70 years, Aston Martin has named the most powerful cars in its lineups with words beginning with the letter 'V'.

One of the DB5s features a special rig with an extra driver's seat on the roof allowing a stunt driver to control the car while Daniel Craig acts inside while the car hurtles through the chase scene.

The DB5 with several body panels missing suggests that the film makers want it to be involved in a crash - although with prices for the 50-year-old cars approaching £1 million each, it is highly unlikely that one of the highly-prized classics will be harmed during the production.

The new Land Rover Defender is also expected to feature in the movie, driven by one of the villains.

Also in the movie, will be 1987 V8 Vantage - which was driven by Timothy Dalton in The Living Daylights.

The new £1.5m hyper car - which has a petrol engine backed up by powerful electric motors - was developed in association with Red Bull Racing and uses technology taken from Formula 1. Just 500 of the cars are planned to be built, so again it is unlikely that James Bond will be writing off one of these.

However, Bond fans will have to wait until early 2021 if they want to buy one of the mid-engined carbon fibre coupes.

It will be the first car to receive Aston Martin's new hybrid turbo V6 engine which marks the firm's return to in-house designed engines.
