Chappers is currently in the lead but both drew a blank on day one on the NAP front so will be raring to go for day two!

GO on a Naq attack. NAQAAWA won twice when trained by Owen Burrows last season and she looked to have improved over the winter when successful on her debut for William Haggas at Chelmsford earlier in the month.

There’s more to come from her and she could easily end up being better than a handicapper.

A wide draw is not ideal but there are so many runners inside her who will likely want to settle in rear James Doyle should be able to get across behind the leaders without too much trouble.

The big one, the Group 1 Sussex Stakes, is over 1m at 3.35pm.

PHOENIX OF SPAIN ran poorly at Royal Ascot behind re-opposing Circus Maximus but he’ll be hard to keep out the frame here.

I think he will be able to sit handy behind the Irish pacemaker and get first run on some of these. His Irish 2000 Guineas win was really good and he was a fine juvenile with scope for Charlie Hills.
