DILLIAN WHYTE reportedly tested positive for TWO banned substances ahead of his points victory over Oscar Rivas last Saturday.
And the Body Snatcher could now be facing an eight-year ban if the allegations were confirmed.
Boxing Scene shockingly reported yesterday that Whyte failed a drug test before beating Rivas in an WBC interim heavyweight title bout at the O2.
And the site now claim that the ‘A sample’ – taken from the Brit by United Kingdom Anti-Doping – in fact tested positive for two banned substances.
Those are believed to be epimethandienone and hydroxymethandienone, two byproducts caused by the consumption of Dianabol.
The drug is no longer used medically in the USA, but can be purchased in the UK and is often taken as a performance enhancing drug by bodybuilders.
The ‘B sample’ will now be tested and, should its result come back positive, Whyte could be banned from boxing for EIGHT years.
That’s because the Brixton hero has already been suspended for failing a drug test.
He served a two-year ban after testing positive for a banned stimulant following his victory against Hungary’s Sandor Balogh in October 2012.
AND THEN THERE WAS SILENCE
It is claimed that neither the WBC nor Rivas were made aware of Whyte’s failed test ahead of the Saturday showdown.
But the positive test result was understood to have been reported to his camp and the British Boxing Board of Control three days before the fight.
The BBBoC, however, allowed the bout to go ahead and as yet have not sanctioned the Brixton boxer.
And it later said in a statement: “United Kingdom Anti-Doping undertake all anti-doping procedures on behalf of the British Boxing Board of Control and any subsequent findings, decisions, suspensions and sanctions are upheld by the British Boxing Board of Control in line with United Kingdom Anti-Doping.
Promoter Eddie Hearn responded to the claims by insisting Whyte was cleared to fight by the BBBoC, although he did not deny his boxer has failed a test.
Hearn tweeted: “Further to reports I can confirm that both Dillian Whyte and Oscar Rivas were subject to extensive VADA and UKAD testing for their bout.

While Rivas has called on the WBC to erase the Whyte defeat from his record – unbeaten before the Saturday bout.
The National Anti-Doping Panel replied to SunSport’s request for information but declined to comment on the case.”
