MARKUS Feehily was part of one of the world’s biggest boybands, Westlife.
The band are on the Jonathan Ross Show tonight, so here’s everything you need to know about the Irish singer…
Who is Markus Feehily and when was he in Westlife?
Markus Feehily, known as Mark Feehily, is a 38-year-old singer and songwriter from Ireland.
He was born in Sligo, Ireland and revealed he was gay in an interview with The Sun back in August 2005.
Markus rose to fame with the boyband Westlife, who launched in 1998.
Alongside fellow front man Shane Filan, he shared lead vocals.
The band were managed by Louis Walsh and Boyzone singer Ronan Keating was also drafted in to co-manage the group.
Westlife were active until 2012 – when they released a Greatest Hits album and later split after selling over 55 million records worldwide.
Markus kept a relatively low profile following the split and has been quietly working on new material.
He says he has turned his life around after reaching his lowest point when Westlife split – at the same time he was nursing heartbreak from separating from his fiance.
He recalled: “So Westlife ended and my seven year relationship ended all at once.
“That was a tough and dark time. There no aftercare. It’s like ‘thanks for selling 55million albums, now bye!’ It’s tough.”
Are Westlife getting back together?
On September 23, 2018, The Sun exclusively revealed that Westlife would be reuniting.
Tour dates and some new material are also in the pipeline.
An industry insider told The Sun: “It’s signed, sealed and delivered and it’s definitely happening — and it absolutely does not include Brian McFadden.
“The other guys have been lined up to return to the studio and record some new songs and tour dates have even been organised, so it’s definitely going ahead this time.

Has Markus released his own music?
Markus embarked on a solo career in 2015 and his debut single was called Love Is A Drug.
He released his debut solo studio album Fire on October 16, 2015 and released new material just in time for Christmas 2017.
He made his comeback singing as a special guest at Mariah Carey’s All I Want for Christmas shows.
