Month after month the Prime Minister has donned the same blue £825 detachable coat.
But this morning Theresa May made a drastic change to her wardrobe as she swapped her usual coat for a black quilted jacket.
Attending a service near her Maidenhead constituency Mrs May looked in bright spirits as she changed her usual wardrobe choice for another Herno jacket, worth £350, first worn by the PM in 2017.
She has previously worn the same £825 coat, from Italian company Herno, to Brexit meetings in Strasbourg, Brussels, Downing Street and Westminster.
A total change: Prime Minister Theresa May swapped the blue Herno detachable coat she has been seen in for months for a more casual black puffer jacket as she attended a church service near her Maidenhead constituency this morning
But as Mrs May left the light blue double layered wool blend coat behind she seemed also to leave a sense of the stress of planning Brexit with it.
Smiling alongside her husband Philip, Mrs May seemed positively cheerful as she entered the church, teaming her black coat with leopard print pumps and a black handbag.
The original black quilted shell with cropped sleeves has been praised as 'a great choice for spring' by Laura Emily Dunn, the founder of Political Style.
She told MailOnline: 'I think this is a really stylish coat from the same brand that the Prime Minister clearly loves.
The Prime Minister seemed in bright spirits this morning. The change in wardrobe has sparked questions over a potential change in Brexit negotiations amid what has been deemed a 'national crisis'
'It's a great choice for spring - lighter layers and the cropped sleeves make it a perfect choice for the cooler temperatures - and for a great casual outfit.'
The wardrobe swap has sparked questions over a potential change in Brexit negotiations amid what has been deemed a 'national crisis'.
Justice Secretary David Gauke today warned he would leave his position if Number 10 sought a cliff edge Brexit as Mrs May braces for another round of mass resignations.
Theresa May has previously attended church in the blue detachable Herno coat, worth £825. Mrs May first donned her blue coat in January last year and quickly earned the approval of Laura Emily Dunn. The style guru previously said: 'What’s so cool about this jacket is that you can zip out the (detachable) sleeves and front section, leaving you with a shorter-length sleeve and the wool coat if desired'
The company who created her blue coat, Herno, began making men's raincoats in 1948 to suit the humid climate around Lake Maggiore, Italy.
And May's model features a detachable quilted shell trim meaning she can remove the inner layer in favour of the lighter short sleeved wool coat.
