"Many Photos" - Ant McPartlin added £3.1million to his fortune this year despite not being on TV after drink-drive crash

ANT McPartlin’s wealth has soared over the last year – despite his 12 month break from work.

The 43-year-old took an extended leave of absence and had a stint in rehab last year but still managed to add £3.1million to his fortune after he crashed his car while over the limit.

The TV favourite got a 20-month driving ban and took a step back from the spotlight so that he could work on his drink and drug addictions.

His hit show with lifelong sidekick Dec Donnelly Saturday Night Takeaway was cancelled until 2020.

Meanwhile, Holly Willoughby filled in for the presenter on I’m A Celebrity as she starred alongside his Dec in the jungle.

Despite his time away from work commitments, Ant has added £3.1 million to his fortune in firm Teecourt Ltd in the last year.

That outfit now has £20.4 million in cash and assets – up from £17.3 last year.

Meanwhile, the two firms he runs with Dec – Mitre Holdings Ltd and Hurley Promotions Ltd – saw their profits boosted.

Mitre Holdings is now worth £2.7 million – a £400,000 increase on 2017 – and Hurley productions banked an extra £300,000 to take its bottom line to £4.4 million.

Ant might be in the money for now but his wealth – estimated at more than £60 million – is expected to take a battering when he finally reaches a divorce settlement with ex-wife Lisa Armstrong.
