THE Ryder Cup fan struck by a wayward Brooks Koepka tee shot has claimed that spectators took photos of her horror injury – instead of calling for help.
French supporter Corine Remande has been left blind in her right eye after being struck by the American’s drive, which caused her eyeball to explode.
The 49-year-old had travelled from Egypt with her partner to watch the Ryder Cup, where she was hit in the face on the sixth hole on the opening day of the tournament.
She has since said she could have been killed in the incident, and plans to sue the organisers after being told she has suffered long-term damage.
And in a recent interview, the golf fan has revealed how gawping supporters seemed disinterested as blood poured down her face as she lay on the ground.
Remande said: “Before being moved, in a big mess, I was afraid of being trampled because Tiger Woods was coming and the crowd was growing around us.
“What shocked me too was that the spectators were taking pictures of me, but no one was calling for help.”
While she also stressed organisers failed to shout “fore” to let people know of an incoming wayward shot, despite the Ryder Cup stating they had.
She added: “They did not [shout fore]. To make a show, the organisers moved the tees forward on the sixth hole to allow the big hitters to reach the green in one shot.
“Without warning the spectators, the public cannot see the players and anticipate and protect themselves. That’s why I’m angry.

“We have now filed a complaint in order to have answers to our questions, to challenge all the organisers on behalf of the safety of the public.”
Koepka has spoken on the grief he feels from causing the injury to Remande, where he revealed he has been left heartbroken upon finding out the news.
