Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake made history in 2001 when they graced the American Music Awards red carpet in matching double denim ensembles. 

And proving their legend remains, 17 years on Victoria's Secret stunner Devon Windsor, 24, opted to replicate the ensembles with her fiancé Johnny Dex as they partied the night away ahead of Halloween on Wednesday. 

Living it up at the V Magazine Halloween party by Chanel at Jane's Carousel in Brooklyn Friday night, the duo perfectly copied the ensembles worn by the pop princess and her former beau, before their split the following year.

Britney and Justin cemented their all-American sweetheart status back in 2001 when they arrived on the red carpet in their ensembles - comprising of patchwork denim to create a ball gown and tuxedo, with Justin also rocking a stetson. 

Devon not only flaunted her fancy dress abilities in the denim dress but also her chic style with a sweetheart neckline and chunky silver choker and matching earrings.

Meanwhile, Johnny looked the spitting image of Justin with a denim cowboy hat, dark shades, and crucifix necklace and the singer's iconic curls. 

The American supermodel, who has graced the covers of Vogue, made sure to command attention in the all denim look.

The blonde beauty stars in E!'s latest docuseries Model Squad, which follow the models-of-the-moment who are ruling the fashion industry.

As well as Devon, the line-up also features Daniela Braga, Hannah Ferguson, Ping Hue, Nadine Leopold, Caroline Lowe, Ashley Moore and Shanina Shaik.
