New photo Meghan Markle and Prince Harry put a ‘two week’ rule on their romance to make sure they could make it work long distance – but one thing became their ‘enemy’

WITH around 3,500 miles separating London and Toronto,  Meghan Markle and Prince Harry could have easily struggled to make their long distance relationship work.

Packed work schedules and a desire to keep the romance private made things yet more difficult, so how did their love survive?

Writing in Meghan: A Hollywood Princess, royal biographer Andrew Morton revealed the pair stuck to a two-week rule.

He said: “The trick was in planning and timing. Many long-distance couples apply the twenty-one-day survival rule – to make sure they see one another at least every three weeks.

“Harry and Meghan managed every fourteen days.”

With one of them making the eight-hour Transatlantic flight every fortnight, and a romantic holiday to Botswana a month after meeting, love soon sparked for the couple.

But jet lag became “the main enemy” for the relationship, Andrew revealed.

He said: “Meghan would often arrive in Toronto and go straight to the set of Suits to start filming.”

And you thought your commute was bad.

Andrew added that Meghan was even busier than the prince, with her filming commitments, promotion for a new fashion collection with Reitmans, humanitarian work and her lifestyle blog The Tig, which she’s since closed down.

Meghan didn’t officially move to London until November, 16 months into their long distance relationship.

In more royal news, Princess Diana’s psychic pal Simone Simmons has made a hurtful claim that Meghan and Harry will ‘SPLIT after three years’.

While Meghan was worried about coming across as ‘too eager’ after ‘intoxicating’ first date with Harry, Andrew has revealed.
