PIERS Morgan has claimed Strictly Come Dancing will be “awkward” after Seann Walsh and Katya Jones shared a drunken kiss.
The TV host said on Good Morning Britain earlier today that alcohol is a “terrible thing” after the comedian and his pro dance partner blamed booze for their cheating.
After entertainment correspondent Richard Arnold updated viewers on the illicit encounter which was revealed by The Sun On Sunday at the weekend, the outspoken presenter said: “Now they have to carry on dancing with each other.
“We now know there’s more than just a little frissante here. That is awkward.
“If you’re one of the partners involved on the other side, you probably wouldn’t want to see this ever every weekend would you.”
He then added: “Alcohol, it’s a terrible thing.”
It comes after Seann’s girlfriend Rebecca Humphries has been left “humiliated” after the comedian was caught kissing his Strictly Come Dancing dance partner Katya Jones.
The actress made her feelings clear on Twitter as her boyfriend and the dance pro issued grovelling apologies.
Yesterday Rebecca, who had been celebrating her birthday the night Seann, 32, was snapped snogging his co-star in pictures exclusively revealed by The Sun, unfollowed Seann on Instagram.
Last night she ‘liked’ a series of supportive tweets. One read: “You seem ace and generally an all round excellent human. Sorry a mean, rubbish thing happened to you. Women of the UK are behind you. Rock on.”
Another commented: “Thinking of you. Been there in my own small way and you will come through and life will be better I’m sure. Lots of love.
A third shared: “Thinking of you pet. No one deserves to be made a fool off. Hold your head high, and stay classy.”
It comes as it was confirmed Seann and Katya, 24, will remain in the competition.
In statements released online, Katya – who is married to Strictly dancer Neil Jones – and Seann issued grovelling apologies.
Professional dancer Katya said: “I’m so sorry about any offence or hurt I have caused with my actions.

“I wasn’t thinking and it was a one off mistake after some drinks.
“I love my husband and we are very happy together, this is not a reflection on our relationship.”
Seann added: “In light of the story in today’s newspaper I would like to offer my sincere apologies for my actions.
“This is no excuse but it was a one-off drunken mistake which I am truly sorry for.”
