The Bachelor's Nick Cummins appeared anguished on The Sunday Project while discussing his decision to reject both Brittany Hockley and Sophie Tieman in last Thursday's season finale.
But a body language expert claimed on Monday that the former Wallaby may not have been 100 per cent sincere in his emotions.
Relationship guru and Matchsmith founder Holly Bartter told Daily Mail Australia that Nick appeared to be 'exaggerating' his inner turmoil for the camera.
'He was trying to look more pained than he was': Body language expert Holly Bartter told Daily Mail Australia on Monday that Nick Cummins (pictured) may have been exaggerating his inner turmoil during his Sunday Project interview
'For me it came across as very much him trying to look more pained by his decision than he potentially was,' Holly explained.
'I don't think he was feeling as torn up about it as he wanted it to seem.'
During the Sunday Project interview, Nick made a series of exaggerated hand gestures, sighed and paused - all signs that Holly believes suggest he may not have been completely genuine.

'I think he thought, "This is what someone looks like when they're leaving two girls in the lurch", but I don't think he really felt it,' she explained.
Holly, who is the director of bespoke online dating service Matchsmith, also believed it was apparent that Nick was uncomfortable during the chat with Lisa Wilkinson.
'If he could've got out of that interview in any way, he would have,' she speculated. 'He was counting down the seconds until his mic was off!'

And while many Bachelor fans believe that Nick may still be pining for third-place contestant Brooke Blurton, Holly doesn't think this is the case.
'If he really felt that there was something that he missed out on with Brooke, [the interview] would've been the time to talk about it', she said.
Instead, Holly says, Nick simply made 'sweeping statements' about all of the women.
Broad brush: Rather than expressing his sincere feelings for the individual finalists, Nick instead made 'sweeping statements' about all of the women, according to Holly
Nick's demeanour was in stark contrast to the show's finalists - Brooke, Sophie, Brittany and Cassandra Wood - who sat down for separate interviews.
Brooke was seen wiping away tears as she explained how she wanted Nick to be more reassuring and decisive in expressing his feelings for her.
'There was such a disconnect between him and the girls,' Holly explained, adding that his offer to buy the women a drink should they meet again appeared 'like the last thing he wants to do'.
