Prince Harry and Meghan will leave London on October 15 for Australia where the Duke will climb Sydney Harbour Bridge to raise the Invictus Games’ flag.

The newlyweds will also attend the games’ Opening Ceremony, before watching the sailing, cycling and wheelchair basketball events.

The first day will see the pair visit Admiralty House, the official Sydney residence of the Governor-General of Australia, Sir Peter Cosgrove.

The property boast spectacular views across Sydney Harbour, home to the iconic Sydney Opera House.

Representatives from each of the 18 countries taking part in the Invictus Games will also be present.

Among other highlights will be a visit to the world-famous Taronga Zoo where the pair will be able to meet two koalas and their joeys.

Royal fans will remember it as the same zoo where Prince George delighted the world as he joyfully interacted with a bilby named after him during the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s 2014 tour.

The Duke and Duchess will also open the Taronga Institute of Science and Learning, and visit the laboratory to meet conservation scientists working to reduce illegal wildlife trafficking.

During their time in Australia, the couple will take time out to meet Australian farmers who have had their livelihoods affected by the country’s recent drought.

The next leg of their first overseas tour as husband and wife will see the pair travel to Fiji where they will receive a traditional welcome similar to the one the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh received during their own Royal tour of 1953.

The evening will consist of a private audience with His Majesty King Tupou VI and Queen Nanasipauʻu, followed by an official reception and dinner and traditional Tongan entertainment.

The final stop on the 16-day tour will take the Duke and Duchess to Wellington, New Zealand, where they will be welcomed with a traditional ceremony on the lawns of Government House – the residence of the Governor-General to New Zealand Dame Patsy Reddy.

The ceremony will also include a 21-gun salute, and will be attended by school children.

After unveiling the plaque, The Duke and Duchess will hear more about the ecological importance of the native bush, before joining children from the ‘Trees in Survival’ group in a ‘welly-wanging’ contest.
