EASTENDERS fans were left in shock tonight as Linda Carter betrayed husband Mick and visited Stuart Halfway’s house.
The pub landlady has started to doubt her spouse over whether he shot the villain or not, and earlier this week, she walked out of her prison visit to see Mick after a row.
Tonight, things went from bad to worse as she called Stuart and said she needed to see him, before turning up at his flat.
Linda demanded Stuart tell her what happened the night of the shooting, but insisted to Stuart she didn’t doubt her husband.
Stuart wasn’t buying it though, and questioned why she was there, before giving his version of events – failing to admit he had actually shot himself in a bid to frame Mick.
At one point he showed Linda his wound, and she helped him dress it in the kitchen, before insisting she had to go.
Linda was clearly shaken by the visit, but viewers were furious she would even consider believing Stuart over Mick.
Taking to Twitter, one wrote: “Sorry but @bbceastenders you done it wrong again Linda would not turn her back on Mick she would do all it takes to help Mick and she would not feel sorry for Stuart after all he’s done.”
Another added: “Why on earth has Linda gone to see that headcase Stuart she must be mad Mick would go mad if he knew #EastEnders.”
A third tweeted: “#EastEnders Linda – so disloyal”.

Meanwhile a fourth raged: “#EastEnders are losing me with this storyline don’t get why Linda would suddenly switch sides and believe the man she never liked n knows what he is capable of over the man who has loved n protected her for years. She better be bluffing.”
Indeed, a number of viewers believe – or hope – Linda is actually trying to lure Stuart into her own trap to try and help get Mick released from prison.
One wrote: “Linda definitely has a way of thinking with this #EastEnders” while another added: “Keep you friend close…and your enemies closer! That’s what Linda’s up to.”
