DATA from a murder victim’s Fitbit led to the arrest of her stepfather.

Karen Navarra, 67, was found with her throat cut.

Murder suspect Anthony Aiello, 90, who allegedly visited Karen Navarra at the time of her death

She was wearing the exercise tracking device on her left wrist.

From it, cops established her heart rate spiked and stopped while 90-year-old Anthony Aiello visited her home.

Aiello told police he had called to give Karen a pizza but left after 15 minutes and that she walked him to the door.

But CCTV footage obtained by cops in San Jose, California, shows his car parked outside her home between 3.12pm and 3.33pm.

Karen’s Fitbit Alta HR was linked via Bluetooth to her computer — meaning data was logged on Fitbit’s servers.

It showed her heart rate spiked at 3.20pm before rapidly slowing. Its last beat was at 3.28pm. Karen was found dead five days later on September 13.

Cops say bloodstained clothing was found at Aiello’s home.

He has appeared in court charged with murder but has yet to enter a plea.

Fitbit declined to comment.
