"Many Photos" - The Queen is presented with sketches of her outfits and material samples before getting dressed EVERY morning, Paul Burrell reveals

FOR most of us, getting dressed in the mornings usually involves sleepily throwing on whatever clean clothes we have lying around our bedroom before hastily rushing out the door.

But (unsurprisingly) The Queen‘s morning routine is incredibly fine-tuned in comparison to us mere mortals – and it involves being presented with outfit sketches before deciding what to wear that day.

Appearing on Yahoo’s Royal Box, Paul Burrell gave insight into what an ordinary morning at Buckingham Palace looks like for The Queen.

Instead of an ordinary chest of drawers, The Queen’s extensive wardrobe resides on the top floor of Buckingham Palace.

“The Queen has to have her outfits brought down to her, all her clothes are kept on the top floor,” Princess Diana’s former butler revealed.

To save Her Majesty from traipsing up and down the stairs, The Queen’s dressers will select two options from her collection before presenting her with sketches of them.

Paul said: “Her dresser will bring down two outfits in the morning, which are sketched with pieces of material clipped to them so that the Queen can remember whether it’s silk or cotton or wool.”

After The Queen has chosen what she wants to wear that day, one of her two dressers will return upstairs to collect it.

“She doesn’t actually see her wardrobe with clothes in it,” Paul pointed out.

What’s more, The Queen’s former designer also revealed that she has a “special servant” who wears in her shoes to make sure she never gets blisters.

In a 2012 interview with The Sunday Times, Stewart Parvin – who was granted a Royal Warrant of Appointment to Her Majesty in 2007 – said: “[Her shoes] have to be immediately comfortable. She goes to get someone to wear them.”

The designer also revealed that he once kept a spreadsheet of her wardrobe – detailing the time, date and specifics of the event – to avoid The Queen wearing an outfit more than once.

In more Royal Family news, The Queen’s favourite TV show is The Bill and she gets the BBC to send DVDs of programmes she wishes to watch at Balmoral.

And Meghan Markle will fulfil the Queen’s final wishes when she dies by continuing the popularity of the Royal Family, an expert has claimed.

Plus The Queen always packs a supply of her own blood when she travels on royal tours.
