WATFORD and Burnley are among a host of Premier League clubs set to watch Young Boys defender Loris Benito tonight.

At present, Benito is the understudy to Milan star Ricardo Rodriguez in the Swiss team.

But he has impressed at Young Boys since arriving from Benfica in 2015.

He is out of contract in the summer, putting Prem clubs on alert ahead of the January transfer window.

Meanwhile, manager Gerardo Seoane is braced for a backlash following United’s latest poor showing.

Jose Mourinho’s side were jeered off the pitch after Saturday’s drab 0-0 home draw with strugglers Crystal Palace.

But United will be through to the last 16 of the Champions League if they win and Valencia fail to beat Juventus tonight.

Young Boys need three points to have any chance of a third-place finish and a Europa League spot.

The fact United have only won three of their nine home matches this season should give the Swiss visitors hope.

But Seoane believes that is merely a blip.

He said: “I think this is something not usual, these results.

“Manchester United are strong at home and, for sure, they will want to show to their crowd that they are strong.

“This stadium has a big tradition. United were always the Red Devils at home so we expect a very difficult game.”

Key striker Guillaume Hoarau will be absent with an ankle injury and Sekou Sanogo is suspended for the Group H encounter.

Former Newcastle full-back Kevin Mbabu hopes to replicate the first 30 minutes of the fixture in Berne — before United kicked on to win 3-0.

He said: “We started really good but we had a lack of efficiency.

“We had a few chances and when you don’t score at this level, the opponent doesn’t need too many chances to score a goal.”
