New photo Who is Tyson Fury’s trainer Ben Davison and which fighters has he worked with before?

THE latest stage of Tyson Fury’s career is being master-minded by his new trainer Ben Davison.

The controversial Irishman Fury’s leading corner man may be younger than him but he has master-minded the Gypsy King’s return to stardom.

Fury used to be trained by his uncle Peter Fury but since his comeback to  the sport he has been trained by Davison.

But he has turned to Davidson, who says their alliance was born from a common strategy of how the Manchester giant would tactically approach bouts with the world’s leading heavyweights.

Here is SunSport’s lowdown on the young trainer:

So, tell me about Ben Davison? Who else has he trained?

Davison, 27, boxed as an amateur and also played for for Stevenage Borough.

He made his name as a boxing trainer after teaming up with long-time chum Billy Joe Saunders.

He first met Fury just over a year ago in Marbella in Spain and they had their first conversation in the back of a car.

How highly does Davison rate Fury?

Davison reckons Fury can do absolutely everything in the ring. He says: “He can box front foot southpaw, back-foot southpaw, stand there and have a fight and he can do all those things as an orthodox fighter, too.

“Outside of the ring, the idea people have got about Tyson Fury is 100 per cent unfair. He’s a stand-up man and that’s one of the first things I noticed with him.

“He says what he believes and he sticks to what he believes. He’s a very good man.”

What is the biggest part of his job?

Says Davison: “The biggest part of the job is keeping him mentally stimulated.

“And I feel like we’ve done that better than anticipated. I’m very happy with where things are.”
