BETH Tinker and Chesney Brown turn to a life of crime in Coronation Street next week.
The duo are desperate to raise the money needed to send cancer-stricken Sinead Tinker for life-saving treatment in Germany.
The residents of the Street are stunned when Sinead is told that her cervical cancer has spread and her aunt Beth – played by Lisa George in the ITV soap – desperately searches online to find a way to help save the pregnant factory worker’s life.
She is excited when she discovers a clinic in Germany that could help Sinead but her hopes are dashed when she realises it would cost thousands.
But Beth is undeterred and gets an idea as she watches Carla Connor open the safe at Underworld.
She eyes up the money but is interrupted by Kirk Sutherland who eyes her suspiciously. Later Beth suggests to Chesney Brown – Sinead’s ex – that he steals the takings from the kebab shop and pretend he was mugged.
Ches – Sam Aston – is torn over Beth’s plan but when he comes across a distraught Sinead crying her eyes out because she’s heard her terminally-ill friend Steff has died, he tells Beth he’s in.
Beth tells Kirk that he has to balaclava up and mug Chesney of the takings. As Ches leaves work with the bag of money, Kirk grabs it as kebab shop owner Dev Alahan gives chase.

Later Sinead – Katie McGlynn – is touched when Beth hands her the money for the clinic in Germany but becomes suspicious when she spots a balaclava on the table.
When she overhears Ches saying he was mugged, Sinead takes the bag of cash to Dev and hands it over, telling him she found it by the bins.
But when Dev checks the CCTV and sees no sign of Sinead by the bins, he becomes suspicious and wonders why she’s lying.
Will he work out that Beth planned the whole thing?
