DECLAN Donnelly couldn’t resist making a joke about Anne Hegerty being ruled out of trials on last night’s show.
After being unable to take part in the majority of activities on the show, Dec made a dig about the situation.
Last night Dec took a swipe at the Chase’s Anne Hegerty as he and Holly Willoughby presented the show.
Before he revealed who had been chosen as the new camp leader, he made the joke.
With a completely straight face, he said: “Anne was ruled out on this on medical grounds.”
Bemused, Holly replied: “No she isn’t.”
Dec quickly joked: “Sorry, force of habit.”
This swipe was met with a lot of laughter from the show’s crew.
Anne has been excused from trials on “medical grounds”, which has led fans to accuse the show of fix claims and say Anne is ‘she’s laughing all the way to the bank.’
The Chase star had to down a glass of liquified fish guts, which she did in 12 seconds.
Heaping praise on her, fans of the show rushed to social media congratulate her.
