RIOT cops stormed a party at a church hall in London after hundreds of teen gatecrashers showed up with weapons.
Dramatic footage shows police armed with riot shields trying to stop the carnage in Welling, South East London, at around 8.30pm last night.
Up to 300 people swooped on the birthday party, which erupted in violence after teens lobbed missiles at police.
The chaos continued into a nearby road as cops frantically tried to block the street from the revellers.
Some officers received minor injuries – with a number of weapons left at the scene including a large machete.
One witness told MyLondon : “There were definitely more than 50 police. There was four undercover cars, five big vans and another six to seven hatchback police cars.
“But there was more than 100 kids around the scene on Bellegrove Road
“They kept sending police and closed the road from Upper Wickham Lane to Bellegrove Road McDonald’s.”
A section 60 stop and search order was put in place overnight giving police extra search powers.
The Met Police confirmed they were called following reports of a “large gathering” inside the church.

Three teens were arrested on a number of offences – including on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker and on suspicion of a racially aggravated public order offence.
A spokesperson added: “Officers attended and dispersed crowds, they remained in the area to prevent breach of the peace while attendees made their way home.
“A Section 60 was authorised for the following wards in Bexley – Falconwood and Welling / East Wickham / West Heath / Crook Log to prevent disorder.”
