TOY Story fans can finally start getting excited as the fourth movie’s release date approaches.

But, what do we know about the film and who’s in the cast with Tom Hanks? Let’s get the lowdown…

When is Toy Story 4’s UK release date and what will it be about?

Toy Story 4 will hit UK cinemas this summer on June 21, 2019.

The movie will tell the story of new toy Forky joining Woody and his friends.

Together, the toy gang will rake a road trip which will reveal how big the world can be for a toy.

In 2015, Pixar president Jim Morris had admitted the next installment would have more of a “standalone plot”.

He had explained: “The third movie ended in a beautiful way and completed a trilogy. I think this movie is not part of this trilogy.

Who’s in the cast with Tom Hanks and Tim Allen?

Whilst producers are keeping tight-lipped on the film, one thing we do know is  Tom Hanks and Tim Allen will be returning to lend their voices to Woody and Buzz.

Tom said in an interview in 2016: “I can’t wait to see what they’ve got Woody up to.”

• Wallace Shawn as Rex


• John Ratzenberger as Hamm


• Blake Clark as Slinky Dog


• Don Rickles as Mr. Potato Head

• Michael Keaton as Ken


• Jodi Benson as Barbie


• Kristen Schaal as Trixie

Oscar-winner Patricia Arquette and Keanu Reeves have also been cast in unspecified roles.

The only clues Keanu gave away about his character is that he will be about two inches tall and have “a bit of an edge to him.”

Who are the new Toy Story characters?

The fourth Toy Story film will feature some new characters.

The first teaser trailer showed a “toy” called forky – a plastic fork with pipe cleaners for arms who has a bit of an identity crisis since he’s more of a craft project.

He will be voiced by Tony Hale who played Buster on Arrested Development.

Ducky and Bunny, two carnival prizes will also join the cast of the new movie.

They are voiced by Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele.
