A MINI that’s only done 16 miles in its 30-year lifetime has been uncovered.
The 1989 model clocked up the tiny total despite having four owners.
Auctioneer Matthew Parkin reckons the classic car will fetch £15,000 when it is sold off next month — the same price as a brand-new Mini today.
He said: “Such a low mileage certainly doesn’t happen often.
“The story of this car is part of its appeal, but the main thing is that it has only done 16 miles.”
The F-reg motor was one of 3,000 made for the Mini’s 30th birthday and sold for £4,464.

On average, UK cars cover 7,900 miles a year — meaning the Mini should have 237,000 on the dial.
But when brother and sister Mick and Gillian Evans bought it new at Wright’s Garage in Sleaford, Lincs, they put it into their collection.
After 27 years they sold it — and it was later sold again — but it has still barely touched a road. The auction is on March 5 at Brightwells in Leominster, Herefordshire.
