THE Sun’s columnist Deborah James has slammed easyJet after she was forced to leave her husband behind and sit rows away from her son when she was put on an overbooked flight.
Deborah, who has stage four bowel cancer, said she was angry because of the amount of “admin” she has to do in order to fly with her illness.

The deputy head teacher, 37, from London, revealed she’d booked through luxury travel firm Scott Dunn only to be put on standby on Tuesday.
Deborah was later put on the flight with her son, who was sat 12 rows away from her, but her husband was left behind in London waiting to board another plane.
She tweeted: “You pay a premium to book with @ScottDunnTravel and they stick you on an over booked flight. Currently on standby wondering if I’m actually going on holiday.
“If you had any idea the amount of Cancer admin that’s required to get away, you’d understand my anger!”

Two hours later she updated her Twitter followers saying she’d managed to get on the plane but without her husband.
Deborah said: “So flight update – I got on the flight, my Son is sitting 12 rows behind me on his own, and my husband is left in London with no idea how or when he’s coming out! This is not on @easyJet @ScottDunnTravel.”
easyJet’s official feed responded asking for more information, posting: “I’m so sorry to hear this Deborah, and believe me, I do know. What’s your situation at the moment?”
@ScottDunnTravel said their team would in touch with James when she landed, tweeting: “We’re devastated that this has happened & are doing all we can to ensure you still have a great holiday.”
