THE circus that is London Fashion Week has wrapped for another season.
But not before some bizarre style spectacles and a host of celebrities, including the extended Beckham brood, came to town in a flurry of lightbulbs and Instagram hashtags.

A get-up that looked like Sesame Street character Big Bird was just one of the treats, as a model hidden inside bright yellow feathers shuffled down the runway at the Mary Katrantzou show.
Cue a sea of memes comparing the canary-coloured get-up to the 8ft tall children’s TV character. Expect the look to ruffle feathers in the fashion world.
Meanwhile, another model appeared to be dressed in bright-pink candyfloss.

Looking swell Villanelle

Actress Jodie Comer made candy-floss dresses a THING by wearing a bubblegum pink tulle frock in Killing Eve.
It was by designer Molly Goddard, who showed an even bigger and pinker version on Saturday.
And one version of the dress was styled with smart black trousers and boots, a nod to the chunky black pair Jodie’s Killing Eve character Villanelle wears with her frock.

It could not have been better timing, with the trailer for season two of the BBC cat-and-mouse thriller released only last week.
We love the assassin’s drop-dead gorgeous style and luxury wardrobe, although we are not sure how practical the super-size dress would be for a killer on the run.
The Royal

It was always going to be pretty difficult to beat last season’s biggest name – when the Queen turned up to fashion week for the first time. Her Majesty sat front row at newcomer Richard Quinn’s show.
This year we have had to settle for Love Island finalist Gabby Allen, who somehow blagged an invite to Pam Hogg’s show on Sunday. We were hoping for a Meghan Markle sighting – but the Duchess of Corn-wall turned up to present an award.
Maybe next best thing to the Queen, Dame Joan Collins, 85, who plays the Grand Duchess in spoof show The Royals, popped along to the Erdem catwalk.
Meanwhile, British cool kids Daisy Lowe, Nick Grimshaw, Alexa Chung and Lily Allen all did the rounds over the weekend, as well as top models Lara Stone, Jourdan Dunn and Maya Jama.
Chequered history

Slick baby curls and the old-fashioned Burberry checks are back. The famous label is the most important show of LFW.
And this year’s looks reminded us of the kind of stuff we used to wear as teenagers in the early Noughties.
Some of the world’s biggest models – including catwalk royalty Gigi Hadid, 23, had hair stuck to their foreheads in intricate patterns.

This was teamed with the nostalgic check print that once spawned a flood of fakes down at the local market.
It was a throwback to what teenagers would wear to hang around the corner shop back in the day.
Burberry used to have a famous face-filled front row.
Instead, it jetted in the world’s biggest models to walk the show – including Irina Shayk, 33, and Natalia Vodianova, 36, who escaped the sticky-hair treatment.

The brand Beckham show

Fashion’s – and probably the world’s – most famous family sat front row to watch Victoria’s catwalk show on Sunday.
Brooklyn, 19, was dressed as a Peaky Blinder (again) and had model girlfriend Hana Cross, 21, in tow.
Meanwhile, Romeo, 16, took style tips from his older brother by also accessorising with a flatpeak cap.
Cruz, 13, bucked the trend by wearing a plain white T-shirt and jeans.
But it was Harper’s new hairdo that really stole the show.

The seven-year-old unveiled a fringed bob identical to powerhouse Anna Wintour’s signature locks – and the two just happened to be sitting side-by-side.
It is easy to get the biggest A-list audience in town when you have given birth to most of them.
