LIAM Neeson’s nephew has died five years after suffering serious head injuries in a fall on a night out with pals.

Ronan Sexton, 35, passed away at home surrounded by family in Cushendall, Northern Ireland.

His death comes nearly ten years after Hollywood star Liam’s wife Natasha Richardson suffered a fatal fall.

The British actress died at the age of 45  from serious head injuries inflicted in a skiing accident in March 2009.

Ronan, the youngest of Neeson’s sister Bernadette Sexton’s six children, fell 20ft from a phonebox in Brighton in June 2014.

It is thought Ronan, of Worthing, West Sussex, could have climbed on top of the phonebox – which stands on the promenade above Brighton Beach – as a drunken dare that went horribly wrong.

FAMILY’S HEARTACHE

Taken star Liam, 66, was said to be devastated by the accident.

He is close to family members in Ireland and the UK and regularly flies back to visit his mum and three sisters.

Parish priest Fr Luke McWilliams told the Belfast Telegraph on Tuesday that the family had asked for privacy as they mourn their loss.

A police spokesman said at the time of Ronan’s fall: “Just after 4am on Sunday a man climbed on top of a telephone kiosk outside Brighton Pier when he fell some 20ft to the ground, sustaining a serious head injury.”
