Katie Price today pleaded not guilty to drink-driving after allegedly crashing her £75,000 pink Range Rover into a parked car while twice the legal limit. 

The mother-of-five's 4x4 smashed into a car and a hedge in south-east London following her ex-boyfriend's birthday party in the early hours of October 10 last year. 

The 40-year-old, from Horsham, West Sussex, who is accused of being drunk in charge of a motor vehicle on October 10 last year, appeared at Bromley Magistrates Court today. 

The court heard when she was breathalysed she had 69 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath. 

The legal limit is 35mg per 100ml. 

In the run-up to the alleged crash, Price had turned up uninvited to her ex-boyfriend Kris Boyson’s 30th birthday party at a Turkish restaurant and bar. 

Wearing a fur coat and oversized glasses, the 40-year-old smiled as she arrived at Bromley Magistrates' Court this morning where she denied being drunk behind the wheel.

The former glamour model initially refused to give her address in court, but District Judge Nigel Dean ignored her request, telling her 'all defendants are treated equally'.

Price, from Horsham in West Sussex, was charged by postal requisition in December. 

The 40-year-old was flanked by a private security guard this morning and smiled as she made her way into the court. 

She appeared in the dock wearing a grey fur jacket, skinny jeans and black high-heeled boots and spoke only to deny the charge and give her name, address and date of birth. 

Prosecutor Kate Seal said the issue in the case was whether Price was driving in Shooters Hill, Greenwich, at the time of the incident.

Price denied being behind the wheel.  

The court heard CCTV from a nearby block of flats may have captured some of the crash, while the owner of the car that was hit found pink paint on the bodywork the following morning.

Initially refusing to give her address, Price told the judge: 'There are press in court and I don't want them to know where I live.'

Her solicitor added: 'The position is she has been trying to become anonymous for some time.'

But District Judge Nigel Dean hit back: 'I think the public and members of the press are entitled to know the address of the defendant. 

'All defendants are treated equally.'

After her arrest, Price spent 13 hours in a cell at Plumstead police station before being released under investigation.

It is thought she was taken out through a back exit of the police station, before returning to her Sussex home with her now ex-boyfriend Alex Adderson. 

Judge Dean granted Price bail until her next appearance. 

She will next appear at Bexley Magistrates' Court on February 25 for her trial.
