A GLAMOROUS grandma has revealed she’s often mistaken for her son’s girlfriend as a result of her youthful looks.

Revealing how strangers can’t believe she’s old enough to have an adult son, Lisa said: “I often get mistaken for James’ girlfriend.”

What’s more, the former estate agent even says friends sometimes struggle to recognise her thanks to her youthful appearance.

Lisa added: “I even got a phone call from a friend who believed she had seen him walking down the road with another woman when it was in fact me.”

Now a young grandmother too, Lisa credits her family’s close-knit nature to how close she is in age to her children.

Lisa said: “Being a young mum meant I never really got used to having a social life or solely looking after myself so that having children just seemed to slot it.”

“We are very close as a family and with a smaller age gap, it means we have a lot of similar interests in music, films and fashion.

“I was always considered the cool mum and there has been a long-running joke with James’ friends that I’m a bit of a MILF.”

But rather than making her feel old, Lisa believes that becoming a grandmother at 42 has had the opposite effect.

She said: “When I found out I was becoming a grandmother I felt a lot of people around me thought I would see it in a negative way, a misconception that I would feel I was getting old.

“But it was the complete opposite, having a baby in the family is just such a joy, it in now way made me feel as if I was getting old.”

Instead, Lisa sees her youth as an advantage because it “means I have more time to spend with Archie” and can “do a lot more activities with him.”

She added: “When I look back at my own grandparents, they wouldn’t have been able to look after young children, whereas I’m young enough to be able to run after them.”
