OLE GUNNAR SOLSKJAER made it two wins out of two as he won his first game back at Old Trafford 3-1 against Huddersfield.
Paul Pogba scored twice and Nemanja Matic added another as resurgent United put their torrid time under Jose Mourinho behind them.
But how did United’s stars fare in the win over the Terriers? Find out with our ratings, below…
DAVID DE GEA
Had been a virtual spectator for much of the game but made a fantastic save to claw a curling shot from Depoitre away just around the hour mark.
Captain leading by example.
DIOGO DALOT
Young Portuguese will be kicking himself for not putting United two up right on half time.
Replaced by Ashley Young within ten minutes of the re-start as Solskjaer went for experience and more width.
PHIL JONES
Very solid performance from the former England man. Held firm when Huddersfield threatened to get on top early in the second half.
VICTOR LINDELOF
Had a hand in the opening goal as his header was stopped by Schindler and did his bit defensively to keep the Terriers at bay – apart from that late consolation.
LUKE SHAW
Could have grabbed a rare goal but his well struck second half shot was straight at Lossl.
Solskjaer was urging his full-backs to give him more width all game and he eventually got the message.
NEMANJA MATIC
Right place at the right time to tap United in front after Lindelof’s header was blocked.
Made a key block from Mbenza’s shot soon after the restart which was also crucial.

FRED
Handed only his seventh Premier League start by the new boss – but failed to make the most of it.
Looked short of confidence and almost handed the Terriers an equaliser soon after the re-start.
PAUL POGBA
Restored to the team since Solskjaer took charge and repaid that faith by scoring two super second half goals from distance to secure the points.
Caption that, Jose.
JUAN MATA
Struggled to create much but then popped up with a moment of class just when United needed it as his pull-back helped to create Pogba’s vital second goal.
Got a good ovation when he was subbed ten minutes from time.
JESSE LINGARD
Did his share of tracking back when Huddersfield threatened a comeback and then put the third goal on a plate with a clever pass towards the end.
MARCUS RASHFORD
Supplied the corner for the opening goal and also caught the eye with some dazzling wing play in the first half.
Played a part early on in the second goal too. Deserved to score one too.

Hayden says: “I don’t have a model’s body, but I’m not one of those crazy girls who thinks that they’re fat. I’m OK with what I have.”
Nicollette says: “I don’t like diets – I see it, I eat it! I believe in eating healthily with lots of protein, vegetables and carbs to give you energy.”

SATC star Kim swears by gym sessions with Russian kettle bells (traditional cast-iron weights) and the South Beach Diet to give her the body she wants. To avoid overeating, Kim has a radical diet trick – squirting lemon juice on her leftovers – so she won’t carry on picking.
Kim says: “I am no super-thin Hollywood actress. I am built for men who like women to look like women.”
