ON Christmas Eve radio host Iain Lee gave his listeners an update about Chris, the man who he helped rescue after a suicide attempt.
Tweeting his 100k followers, he let them all know that he had spoken to Chris and he was alive and home.
Iain tweeted:”OK. I just spoke to Chris from the other night. He was incubated for 2 days and it was touch and go. But. He’s alive. He’s at home.”
On 20 December Iain got a call from a listener claiming he had taken an overdose and was laying in a street in Plymouth, dying.
The comedian, who himself admitted to having suicidal thoughts in the wake of his marriage breakdown, broke down in tears after the police found a semi-conscious Chris.
On ringing the show Iain kept talking to the man on air for 30 minutes until an ambulance arrived.
Iain later explained the situation: “We managed to keep him online, get a description of what he looked like and was wearing, work out where he was and send an ambulance and police to him.
“Kept him on the phone for 30 minutes while he got harder to understand.”
He described the call as “intense and upsetting”.
Chris was taken to Derriford Hospital by an ambulance crew and his condition is unknown.

South Western Ambulance Service confirmed that SWASFT paramedics were called at 11pm, December 19 to Derry’s Cross, Barbican, by a radio station who were concerned for the welfare of a patient.
They said: “The male patient was treated at the scene and taken onto Derriford Hospital ED for further treatment.”
