COGNAC BLUE (2.30 Southwell) continues in good form after winning on turf at Redcar in October.
He followed up with a close-up third in a better race than this at Leicester last time before a close-up fifth on the all-weather at Chelmsford last time out.

His best turf form has come with give in the ground so the deeper and slower surface at Southwell should suit him better.
The handicapper has given him a chance off his present mark and he has a decent claimer taking a further 5lb off.
MORRAMAN (2.10 Catterick) had plenty in hand when winning at Musselburgh last time out so looks capable of defying a penalty.
That was just his fourth run over timber and he gets on well with today’s pilot, who claims 7lb. This race doesn’t look any tougher than last time and the result should be the same too.

MIDDLEBROW (2.40 Catterick) managed to win at Kelso last time despite making a fairly hefty mistake.
He showed really battling qualities to keep going there, something we hadn’t always seen in the past.
The handicapper has just put him up just 4lb for that victory and he should be right on the premises again.
Wizard's magic tips...
EACH-WAY DOUBLE: ANGEL PALANAS (1.30 Southwell) was impressive when landing back-to-back wins here over 7f.
He has also scored over this trip and has every chance of another success under a penalty.
Pair him with JABAROUT (3.30 Southwell) who has won two of his past three outings and is best over this distance.
THOMAS TODD (2.50 Fakenham) caught the eye with a barnstorming win on his chasing debut at Musselburgh last time out.
He looked novicey there so is open to plenty of improvement and he stays in the same class today.
He has gone up the weights but has a lot more to offer.

To achieve her kick-ass figure, Hayden – who plays cheerleader Claire Bennet in Heroes – follows the ‘quartering’ rule. She eats only a quarter of the food on her plate, then waits 20 minutes before deciding whether she needs to eat again.
Hayden says: “I don’t have a model’s body, but I’m not one of those crazy girls who thinks that they’re fat. I’m OK with what I have.”
Nicollette says: “I don’t like diets – I see it, I eat it! I believe in eating healthily with lots of protein, vegetables and carbs to give you energy.”

SATC star Kim swears by gym sessions with Russian kettle bells (traditional cast-iron weights) and the South Beach Diet to give her the body she wants. To avoid overeating, Kim has a radical diet trick – squirting lemon juice on her leftovers – so she won’t carry on picking.
Kim says: “I am no super-thin Hollywood actress. I am built for men who like women to look like women.”
