ONE of two murderers who knifed child killer Roy Whiting in jail once slashed a woman’s throat and smashed her skull.

Junkie Kevin Hyden, 38, got at least 32 years of a life term for butchering Davinia Loynton, 53.

Hyden tortured her for bank PINs then took out £2,700 for coke. He also played on her phone after the 2014 home raid horror in Telford, Shrops.

Richard Prendergast, 38, of Worksop, Notts, got a minimum 19-year term last month for knifing Lee Moody, 44, whom he thought stole his phone.

The lags left Whiting, 59, fighting for life after repeatedly knifing him in Wakefield, West Yorks. A source said: “Prisoners can be charged with new offences and see time in prison extended.”

Whiting got at least 40 years’ jail for murdering Sarah Payne, eight, in West Sussex in 2000.
