She is expecting a busy start to the next year with her due date coinciding with the release of her seventh album on January 11.

And pregnant Sophie Ellis Bextor kept busy as she put on an energetic performance at The Royal Festival Hall, in London on Wednesday.

The songstress, 39, showcased her blossoming baby bump in her sequinned number as she danced in vertiginous platforms.

As she moved across the stage in her steep shoes, Sophie's jumpsuit glittered as the one-piece caught glimmers of the light during her thrilling performance.

Age-defying, Sophie defined her features with a slick of red lipstick and she tucked her wavy shoulder-length brunette locks behind her ears.

The expectant mother was completely in her element and she flashed her pearly white smile to the concert-goers.

Sophie confirmed she was expecting her fifth child with her husband of 13 years and The Feeling rocker Richard Jones.

The Murder On The Dancefloor hitmaker has a busy year ahead with her due date, January 11, coinciding with the release date of her seventh album The Song Diaries. 

Sophie told Lorraine: 'January 11th is a prestigious day in my house!

'Originally the album was going to be coming out sooner. I had a funny chat with my manager Derek where I said, "I'm having a baby and I'm due on January 11th" and he said, "That's when the album's coming out, too!"'

Insisting five is enough, the songstress — who revealed she will take her 'bubba' on tour — confessed the fifth baby will be the last of her brood.  

She explained: 'We don't know what we're having. They [her four sons] are excited actually. I think they slightly roll their eyes, like, "Oh, another one".

'I think I'll probably call it a day. I think five is quite a lot. It's been such fun to do, because in real life it's a massive disco song. 

'I signed my first record deal just after I finished my A-Levels, and it ended up being something that I completely fell in love with. 

Sophie and Richard are currently proud parents to four sons: Sonny, 14, Kit, nine, Ray, six, and Jesse, two.
