THE trainer of tragic boxer Maxim Dadashev begged with his fighter before pulling him out of the fight, heartbreaking footage shows.
Russian Dadashev, 28, was struggling after the 11th round of his IBF light-welterweight title eliminator against Subriel Matias.
After several heavy blows to the head and body, Buddy McGirt pleaded with the boxer to let him stop the fight.
For around 30 seconds, legendary trainer McGirt repeatedly asked for permission to pull Dadashev out – but the Russian shook his head, despite clearly struggling.
McGirt said: “I am going to stop the fight.
“Max, I am going to stop it. You are getting hit too much.
“Please Max, please let me do this. Please, please, you are getting hit too much.
“If I don’t, they are going to do it. You understand? The referee will do it.”
At the end of the video, McGirt does turn to the referee and stop the fight, concerned for his boxer.
I was just asking him out of respect, but my mind was made up. I wasn’t going to let him go out there.

Dadashev suffered a subdural haematoma which caused him to collapse in front of fans before leaving the arena after struggling to walk out of the ring.
He then reportedly collapsed and vomited in the changing room before being taken to hospital.
There was bleeding on the brain and underwent emergency surgery.
He was placed in a medically induced coma but passed away yesterday.
Speaking to ESPN, McGirt opened up on the conversation in the ring and his struggles coming to terms with the death.
He said: “He seemed OK, he was ready, but it’s the sport that we’re in. It just takes one punch, man.
“I saw him fading and when he came back to the corner (after the 11th round), my mind was already made up.

“He did everything right in training, no problems, no nothing. My mind is like really running crazy, right now. Like what could I have done differently? But at the end of the day, everything was fine (in training).
