A MAN has died in a house explosion as neighbours describe “almighty bang” and “screams”.
Gwent Police confirmed that a man was pronounced dead at the scene on a Pontypool housing estate in Wales.
A spokeswoman for the force said: “We can now confirm that one man, was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene. Formal identification has yet to take place, and the owners of the property will be supported by specialist officers.
“The cause of death has yet to be established and this will be determined following a post mortem.
“At this moment in time it is too early to confirm whether the death is suspicious.”
