"Many Photos" - Hundreds of cosplay and sci-fi fans dress as their favourite characters for Fantasy Forest weekend

Cosplay and sci-fi fans gathered at a castle in the Cotswold countryside for a weekend of music and fantasy related shows.

Revellers dressed up in all types of genres at the Fantasy Forest Festival at Sudeley Castle, Gloucestershire.

One person even wore a Stormtrooper suit while another dressed up as a colonial marine from the film Aliens.

Some dressed as fairies, goths and even an executioner at the festival, which featured competitions, workshops and trading stalls.

A costume competition took place on Saturday afternoon, which had a cash prize of £250 for best in show. Visitors could also win a cash prize of £100 for best costume, among other awards.

The festival took place at the '12th century built' Sudeley Castle, Gloucestershire. It included the Wicker Man event which sees a wicker-made effigy of a man (used to symbolise the past) set on fire to welcome a new beginning.

Visitors could even camp out under the stars out in the Cotswolds countryside. One couple, Mand and Minty, even had their wedding at the festival.
