"Many Photos" - Cristiano Ronaldo will face no charges over Las Vegas ‘rape’ as prosecutors say it can’t be proven

CRISTIANO Ronaldo will not face charges over historic sexual assault allegations in Las Vegas.

Lawyers today announced they will “decline to prosecute” a 10-year-old allegation against the Juventus football star.

In June 2009 an alleged female victim called cops to report she had been the victim of sexual assault.

She refused to name her alleged attacker and the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department closed the case after losing vital video evidence.

However, last year she named Ronaldo as the offender and the department reopened their sexual assault investigation.

But the force today announced they have dropped the case again because the allegations “cannot be proven beyond a reasonable doubt”.

A spokesman said: “Based upon a review of the information presented at this time, the allegations of sexual assault against Cristiano Ronaldo cannot be proven beyond a reasonable doubt.

“Therefore, no charges will be forthcoming.”
