"Many Photos" - Arsenal wonderkid Reiss Nelson wanted on season-long loan transfer by Hertha Berlin to join pal Sancho in Germany

ARSENAL winger Reiss Nelson is a target for Hertha Berlin.

The German club want to bolster their attack for the new season and want the England Under-21 international on a season-long loan.

They are also looking at Watford’s Dodi Lukebakio after he also impressed in Bundesliga in the last campaign.

Lukebakio, 21, netted 11 goals for Fortuna Dusseldorf during his spell away from Vicarage Road.

Nelson, 19, made 25 appearance for Hoffenheim and netted seven times, alerting other Bundesliga clubs over another loan.

Unai Emery will make a final decision whether he can afford to let Nelson out on loan or if he is needed at the Emirates.

The Arsenal boss has already told striker Eddie Nketiah, 20, to stay at Emirates Stadium and fight for his place next season.

A number of young Gunners are getting their chance this pre-season, including Nelson.

The winger started in the 3-0 beating of Fiorentina alongside Bukayo Saka, 17, and midfielders James Olayinka, 18, and Robbie Burton, 19.

But it was Nketiah who stole the show with two goals that followed on from his winner against Bayern Munich in Los Angeles.

Heading back to Germany would reignite comparisons between Nelson and fellow English attacker Jadon Sancho.

The Borussia Dortmund winger has led the way in the Bundesliga after leaving Manchester City for £8million in 2017.

Since leaving, Sancho has earned three caps for the England senior side with Nelson, who is three months his senior, still inside the Under-21 setup.
