ARSENAL continued their unbeaten start to pre-season thanks to an Eddie Nketiah double against Fiorentina in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The 20-year-old netted a winner against Bayern Munich on Thursday and further proved a point to Gunners boss Unai Emery on their US tour.
Here Mark Irwin rates the performances of the Gunners players.
EMILIANO MARTINEZ
Excellent reaction save from Vlahovic to keep Arsenal on level terms and looked more than comfortable to play it out from the back with the ball at his feet. 8
CALUM CHAMBERS
Has done his prospects no harm on this tour and with Arsenal’s current defensive problems he could well have played himself into Unai Emery’s plans. 7
SHKODRAN MUSTAFI
Playing in the middle of a back three, he was given so much time on the ball by Fiorentina yet still consistently managed to get the wrong side of his man. 6
NACHO MONREAL
Terrible first couple of touches from the captain but made amends with a crucial last-ditch clearance. Could have done with a bit more defensive cover from Kolasinac down his flank. 6
CARL JENKINSON
Started off like a house on fire charging up and down the right flank but the searing Carolina heat quickly took its toll on him and he looked as though he couldn’t wait for the half-time whistle. 6
JAMES OLAYINKA
Worked hard in the defensive midfield role and almost scored with a low shot from the edge of the area which flew narrowly wide. But needed to show more ambition with his passes. 6
ROBBIE BURTON
Another decent showing from the young central midfielder who has impressed with his composure in possession and ability to move the ball on quickly. 6
SEAD KOLASINAC
Much happier in the wing-back role which gives him more freedom to get forward and it was his low cross which teed up Nketiah for Arsenal’s opening goal. 7
REISS NELSON
Didn’t really show what all the fuss is about on this occasion and didn’t see nearly enough of the ball to make an impression. Can’t afford to let these opportunities pass him by if he is going to challenge for a first team place. Perked up a bit when he switched to the left wing after the break. 6
EDDIE NKETIAH
Two more goals from the young striker who is starting to add a nerveless finishing touch to his electric pace and even came up with a goal-line clearance. Emery must soon decide whether to loan him out for regular game time or keep him as back-up to Aubameyang and Lacazette. 9
BUKAYO SAKA
Nice touch to open up Fiorentina for the opening goal, this was an industrious display from the teenage winger who showed some clever moves and a useful ability to turn his marker. 7

ALEXANDRE LACAZETTE
On for Kolasinac at half-time as Arsenal reverted to a back four, he tested keeper Terracciano with a rasping shot. Selflessly set up Nketiah and Willock for Arsenal’s second-half goals. 7
BERND LENO
Forced into action within minutes of replacing Martinez to tip over a rising shot from Benassi. Otherwise untroubled. 7
HENRIKH MKHITARYAN
Yellow carded within seconds of his introduction for a foul but immediately made amends with the run and cross which led to Arsenal’s second. 7
JOE WILLOCK
Sent on for Olayinka to shore things up in midfield when Fiorentina were briefly threatening to rally and successfully helped Arsenal to shut up shop. Put the icing on the Arsenal cake with an 89th minute goal. 8

SOKRATIS PAPASTATHOPOULOS
Gave the stadium announcer serious problems when he came on as a 65th minute sub and then made sure that Fiorentina’s strikers will never forget his name. 6
Granit Xhaka, Dominic Thompson, Zech Medley, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Mesut Ozil, Gabriel Martinelli. On for the final ten minutes in a mass substitution.
Martinelli came within a whisker of getting his second goal of the tour in the dying minutes.
