DEAR DEIDRE: I’VE had cancer and my wife has decided she wants me out of her life.

We have been married for 15 years. I am 58, she is 53.

I was diagnosed with lung cancer even though I’ve never smoked. Treatment was successful but affected my energy levels, and, as a result, our sex life.

We live in what was her house but I have contributed hugely and worked to make it a lovely home. I cannot believe she now wants to throw everything away.

She is being argumentative and irritating. I think it is her way of getting me to want out. All I want is to be together.
