New photo Tesco cuts click and collect minimum spend to £25 – but its only for a month

GROCERY giant Tesco has cut the minimum spend on click and collect from £40 to £25 – but only for a limited time.

Usually shoppers have to pay £4 to use the click and collect service if their order is under £40.

From today until February 10, shoppers only need to spend £25 to avoid the charge.

The offer isn’t running in all of Tesco’s 3,400 stores as about 36 branches are excluded from the offer.

The UK’s biggest supermarket angered shopped back in February 2016 when it introduced a £2 fee for click and collect orders.

Last year, Tesco upped costs again, meaning some shoppers paid up to £4 for a click and collect order.

Tesco also introduced a same-day click and collect service in 261 locations across the UK – but its only available Monday to Saturday.

It costs between £2 and £4, depending on the slot.

Rival Aldi has been testing out a same-day delivery service, as the big six supermarkets continue to battle for customers.

Earlier today we revealed the best supermarket own brand copycat products, as picked by Good Housekeeping.

Last week, Tesco launched a new advertising campaign to celebrate its 100th year.

Hayden says: “I don’t have a model’s body, but I’m not one of those crazy girls who thinks that they’re fat. I’m OK with what I have.”

Nicollette says: “I don’t like diets – I see it, I eat it! I believe in eating healthily with lots of protein, vegetables and carbs to give you energy.”
