EDDIE HEARN has admitted he is “p***ed off” that Amir Khan has again dodged Kell Brook to take on Terence Crawford.
Despite both boxers now working under the same Matchroom banner, a battle of Britain STILL cannot be thrashed out.
The two have been trash-talking for years, with Brook adamant that it is Khan who is holding up a clash.
Just days ago it was revealed that the Bolton boxer would take on undefeated WBO world welterweight champ Crawford in the US on April 20.
Now Hearn has revealed he made big offers to Khan to finally fight Sheffield’s own Brook – but to no avail.
Speaking to iFL TV, the promoter said: “I maxed out on offers for Amir.
“Fans are disappointed. I am not over the moon he took the fight but he’s fighting Terence Crawford who on paper is better than Kell Brook.
“I am p***ed off but I am not raging.
“I could not have done any more for myself and British public.
“Kell always thought it wouldn’t happen but I told him it would and he was right.

“Without the Crawford fight it would have happened.”
Hearn is now switching his attention to sorting out a big fight for Brook – and hinted that the boat might well have been missed for Brook vs Khan.
He added: “I like the Brook vs [Jeff] Horn fight and he is mandatory to [Jarrett] Hurd and has the Liam Smith fight.
“People ask if the fight is dead but Amir wins or loses it is not dead but it is nowhere near the size it was.”
It is reported that Khan will pocket £4 million for his fight against undefeated pound-for-pound American sensation Crawford.
It will be Khan’s first fight in the US since his devastating knockout loss to Mexico’s Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez in May 2016.
