A RESCUE puppy miraculously survived being shot through the head with an arrow by a sick thug.
Five-month-old Loca was found in her family’s back garden with gruesome injuries after the arrow pierced her head and got lodged in her back.
She was rushed to Paws and Claws Animal Clinic where the arrow was removed and the young pup was stabilised.
Loca had only recently been adopted from an animal shelter when she was senselessly attacked outside her home in Calhoun County, South Carolina, US.
“We pray that she makes it through all of this,” Paws and Claws practice manager Nikki Sauer wrote on Facebook.
She added: “Loca just started enjoying the good life with her forever family and we hope to see her have many, many more years of love and life!”
CATCH THE SICK THUG
Shocking images of the arrow sticking out of Loca’s snout have prompted an outcry on social media.
Mrs Sauer encouraged anyone with information or footage of the attack to come forward.
“If you know anyone in the Calhoun, SC area that may know something about how Loca was shot please reach out and help capture the psychopath that did this to her.
Loca just started enjoying the good life with her forever family.
“She deserves justice! We have to stop letting things like this go without outrage and hurt. Dogs lives matter too!
“I hope you rot in hell.”
Thousands have commented on the post with dog lovers calling for the person responsible to be punished.
Kristin Cauble Botkin wrote: “I hope that sweet pup makes it through and the person responsible is caught.”

Loca was adopted by a female police officer and the family are understood to have CCTV camera which will be reviewed.
