A DRIVER will appear in court today after a PCSO was killed by a car being chased by police.
Holly Burke, 28, died when a Renault Scenic smashed into her Ford Fiesta in Birmingham, West Mids, at 11.30pm on Tuesday night.

Police were on a routine patrol when they spotted the speeding vehicle, which failed to stop in Erdington.
Officers pursued the car until a stinger was deployed but the driver continued “at speed” and collided with Holly’s Ford Fiesta.
Despite desperate efforts by paramedics, Ms Burke – who had been a PCSO for 14 months – couldn’t be saved.
Darren Ogom, 42, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving, driving without a licence, driving with no insurance and failing to stop for a police officer.
He has been remanded in custody and will appear at Birmingham Magistrates’ Court on Thursday morning.
Ms Burke’s next of kin have been informed and are being supported by a specialist family liaison unit.
Chief Superintendent Kenny Bell, commander at Birmingham East neighbourhood policing unit, said: “This is a desperately sad time for everyone who knew Holly and our thoughts and condolences are with Holly’s mum and dad, family, friends and colleagues.
“There is no doubt that this tragic event will have an impact on those officers who responded and those who worked alongside her.
“Holly has been taken from us too soon and as a police family we are feeling this.”
‘SEA OF BLUE LIGHTS’
One shop worker, who did not want to be named, said the fatal crash occurred just five seconds after the car went over the police stinger on Bearwood Road, where the speed limit is 30mph.
He said: “We heard sirens and a police car stopped across the road so we went outside to have a look.
“The officers brought out the stingers and waited for a while and then the car came bombing past.
“It was going so fast.
“The car went over the stingers and went straight through the red lights. The stinger didn’t seem to have any effect at all.
“It hit the woman’s car from the side and then the police were there.
“They were more focused on helping the lady but they dragged a man out of the other car.
“There was then a sea of blue lights coming towards the crash. It was just horrific.”
Another shop worker said: “We were just shocked. It’s the police’s fault because they didn’t block Hagley Road off.
“The stinger didn’t slow the car down at all. That woman would still be alive if they had blocked the road.
“It’s very sad for her family.”
‘COULDN’T BE SAVED’
West Midlands Ambulance Service said the driver of the Renault suffered minor injuries in the collision.
The service sent three ambulances, a MERIT trauma doctor and two paramedic officers attended the scene.
A spokesperson said: “When ambulance staff arrived on scene, police officers were already performing CPR on a woman, the driver of one of the cars involved.
“Ambulance staff quickly took over resuscitation efforts but sadly nothing could be done to save the woman and she was confirmed dead a short time later on scene.
“The driver of the second car, a man, sustained minor injuries and was taken to hospital for further checks.”
The incident has been referred to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) as a matter of routine.
A spokesperson for the IOPC said: “We have begun an independent investigation after a woman died in a collision following a police pursuit in Birmingham last night.
