WEST HAM have vowed to dish out a lifetime ban to the yob who threw a plastic cup at Troy Deeney.
Watford striker Deeney taunted Hammers fans with his wild celebrations after he smashed home a 30th minute penalty in the Hornets 2-0 win – punching a corner flag out of the ground.
Hammers fans hurled abuse at him, with one chucking the coffee cup at him.
The club could now face an FA probe but a West Ham spokesman confirmed: “We are aware of the incident and will be working to identify the offender.
“In line with our zero tolerance approach, anyone identified will have their details passed to the police and will face a lifetime ban from London Stadium. There is no place for this kind of behaviour at our stadium.”
Deeney was not booked by ref Lee Mason for goading the crowd and Watford boss Javi Gracia said: “I like the way Troy plays – his commitment. He is our captain and an important players for us.
“After the goal he went running to the corner, but I do not know what was said.
“So I cannot tell you if it was a good or bad celebration. Many times I have seen players running to the corner.

“I don’t think it affected the atmosphere. Supporters will always back their team.”
Arsenal are facing disciplinary action after a plastic bottle was chucked at Tottenham’s Delle Ali during the EFL Cup qaurter-final at the Emirates last Wednesday.
