ANTHEA Turner’s pal Lizzie Cundy has waded into the star’s cash row with her sister.

She yesterday slammed Wendy Turner Webster for selling her story to a newspaper.

Ex-GMTV presenter Anthea 58, severed ties with Wendy, 51, and her husband Gary, 54, after allegedly lending them tens of thousands.

Wendy, who lives in a Travelodge hotel with ex-Minder actor Gary, said Anthea bombarded her with texts to get her to repay the loan.

Last year Anthea found herself being sued for missed rent payments racked up by the couple while living in a £850,000 home in West London.

A friend of Anthea’s told The Sun on Sunday: “As far as Anthea is concerned, enough is enough.

“She has helped Wendy and Gary out endlessly over the years, and propped them up financially time and time again.”

The issue is understood to have come to a crisis point this summer after the one-time Blue Peter star was forced to pay a county court judgement, after agreeing to be a guarantor for Wendy.

Telly host Lizzie, 48, told talkRADIO: “Anthea was there for Wendy at her hour of need and loaned her the money.

“And this is how Wendy repays her.

Another source said: “This has really been a shock for Anthea that her sister would do this. It’s a stab in the back.

“Anthea was kind to lend the money to Wendy and Gary so for them to do this is a low blow.”
